Game Tester / QA Tester The job of a game tester is not as easy as it sounds. Playing games is the primary function, but this person is also responsible for writing detailed reports of the initial appearance of a bug, areas of gameplay and engine function that are affected, and actions taken to re-create the glitch. Game testers keep detailed logs of test cases, monitor active issues, and maintain the reporting database. Game testing is conducted within the game development studio by regular or temporary employees, not at home. The main function of a game tester is to actively seek to crash the engine. Individuals in this position may be divided into teams to group-test a multiplayer game, or work independently to carefully consider every possible variation of play in a single level.
Sydney, Australia Sydney is the state capital of New South Wales and the most populous city in Australia and Oceania. Located on Australia's east coast, the metropolis surrounds Port Jackson and sprawls about 70 km (43.5 mi) on its periphery towards the Blue Mountains to the west, Hawkesbury to the north and Macarthur to the south. Sydney is made up of 658 suburbs, 40 local government areas and 15 contiguous regions. Relax on sun-drenched beaches, dine at award-winning restaurants and take in some shows in Sydney. Enjoy Sydney’s natural beauty, from unspoilt beaches to public gardens and, of course, the sparkling harbour, before discovering its thriving restaurants and markets. Top it off with a trip to the Blue Mountains, a popular excursion among locals. The Australian games industry is dominated now by small, independent companies, typically creating games for mobile devices or PC download. Sydney does play host to studios from games giants Riot Games and Wargaming
